A few weeks ago lyricist Matt Muxu Mercieca exclusively revealed to wiwibloggs an excerpt of the lyrics to Malta’s Junior Eurovision 2014 song. He withheld the title—but now the wait is over. JuniorEurovision.tv has revealed that Federica will sing “Diamonds”. It makes good sense. As the first Maltese singer ever to perform on home soil in any Eurovision event, she wants to pull a Rihanna and SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND!

The song comes from the same writing team behind Gaia Cauchi’s winning JESC 2013 entry—Gillian Attard (the brains behind La Voix Academy), Muxu and Elton Zarb. Insiders have compared Federica’s song to a James Bond theme. It is expected to premier within the next two weeks! Malta is being tipped for a second consecutive victory – and given the amount of professionalism circling Federica and her song we feel that it might happen.
