Betty—better known as Elizabeth Danielyan to her friends and family—has won Armenia’s Junior Eurovision national selection with the song “People of the Sun”.

As the title of her song suggests, Little Miss Betty brought some major sunshine that screams Ibiza and Grand Canaria. The 11-year-old cranks up the cute as she sings, “People of the sun, always having fun…sun is #1…” We want to grab some SPF 50 and head to the beach!

The song and the staging remind us of some of Armenia’s other successful entries. The most obvious is “Barcelona”, the Spanish-tinged dance number which Luara Hayrapetyan took to second place in Kyiv in 2009. In terms of staging, this smacks of “Mama”, which Vladimir Arzumanyan took to the top in Minsk back in 2010. Then, as now, a group of dancers with attitude and spunk throw it down Armenia-style. Love.

It was so obvious that this was gonna win since it’s such a similar styled song as last year’s. I doubt it’ll do too well, probably place in the bottom half.

Here’s to a Sweden win, it may help attract more western countries for 2015.
