Two weekends ago, the team from wiwibloggs flew to Helsinki to ride the waves with OGAE Finland. As part of their annual Eurovision cruise from Helsinki to Tallinn, hundreds of Eurovision fans boarded the ship and watched Eurovision stars sing their hearts out. Naturally we pulled out our iPhones and cameras and recorded some of the action for you. We’ll be uploading the footage to our Youtube channel in the coming days, and will share the hottest videos here.
And where there is heat, there is, of course, Charlotte Perrelli. This year’s headline act, Charlotte reprised her 1999 winning song “Take Me to Your Heaven,” her 2008 Eurovision reprise “Hero”, and her 2012 Melodifestivalen entry “The Girl”. As you can see in the videos below, she’s still got it! Charlotte told the crowd that she loves “The Girl” the most, even if Sweden didn’t send her to the Melodifestivalen final that year. “They just didn’t get it,” she told the audience. Well we did — and we still love it!
What’s most amazing about these performances is that Charlotte gave birth to her third Swedish meatball last summer. On the cruise we actually saw Charlotte and hottie screenwriter husband Anders Jensen wheel their babe through the Starlight Lounge to the backstage area. Apparently Charlotte never wants to be too far from her youngest child. Too. Sweet.
