Yes, there are singers in San Marino besides Valentina Monetta. And SMRTV, the country’s state broadcaster, is going to prove that this November in Malta when they field their second consecutive contestant for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

SMRTV confirmed the news this morning on their web site. Details about their participation will be revealed during a press conference on September 29.

Last year the team from wiwibloggs got behind 15-year-old Michele Perniola, the Italian singer who SMRTV drafted to represent the nation. We loved his song—and that amazing gold lamé jacket. But unfortunately he finished in 10th place. WhaTEvEr. In our eyes, a star was born.

Well I am really amazed with this! I really thought that they will withdraw due to RAI debuting. Well no. I think this means that participation in 2015 ESC is very possible

Didn’t expect it, because of Italy’s début. But I’m very curious and happy! 😀
