Cleo & Donatan brought Poland back to the Eurovision final last year, and TVP is keen to keep a good thing going. Our friends at Polish Eurovision site eurowizja.org have confirmed with TVP that Poland will be back at Eurovision 2015! Apparently officials were partly swayed by the high viewing figures: Around 5 million Poles tuned in to this year’s show. No word yet on whether the EBU caved into their demands for a lower transmission fee.

TVP says that it will choose its candidate through an internal selection, and will reveal the song by early March.

Naturally speculation now turns to who will sing for Poland. Fans have long hoped for former Playboy bunny Doda, but Eurofans in Poland tell us the following contestants stand the best chance.

1. Sylwia Grzeszczak
2. Stashka
3. Margaret
4. Ewa Farna
5. Ewelina Lisowska
6. Kasia Popowska
7. Liber & Natalia Szroeder
8. Donatan & Cleo (yes, them again)
9. Enej (group)
10. Piersi (group)

Other potential singers include Halina Mlynkova, who was reportedly a candidate last year, Honorata “Honey” Skarbek, Jula, Varius Manx and Blue Cafe.

Who do you want to hear sing for Poland?

Thank you to Krzysztof and Marek in Poland for the tips!

Charles:

I’m honestly just glad that Poland’s participating at all, but hopefully they’ll pick something different from this year’s entry. Poland has sent some amazing songs over the years, and they’ve often had a decent variety of styles and genres. Poland is full of talent, and I hope they’ll use that to pick a fresh and different entry, instead of just reusing last year’s formula.

Poland can’t get another great result? I bet a young lady called Margaret who’s on that list would have something to say…

Please please please please please Ewelina Lisowska. She’s not only my favourite Polish singers but one of my favourite all-time singers as well. She’d be amazing.

I think Poland has no chance for good result in 2015. This country is not familiar with the ESC.

Really hope they will send something with quality this year! My favorite Polish entry still remains “For Life” from Isis Gee, followed by “Czche Znaj Swoj Grzech”, “Ale Jestem” and “To Nie Ja” of the 90’s.

I just hope next year Poland can work some sex appeal into their act. This year’s act was way too understated.

I hope they bring something more serious for 2015, I love Honey’s work so I hope she’s given a thought. Welcome Poland!

Poland will never achieve the same success that they achieved this year. Poland returned with a bang by sending Donatan and Cleo. I mean take a look at Poland’s previous results in the contest. It will be very hard to top this years success!
