Tinkara Kovac spun “Round and Round” and straight into the final at Eurovision 2014. But before she got there she had to battle to represent Slovenia at EMA 2014, the Slovene national selection. Today on Facebook RTVSLO announced that it will once again use the format to select its Eurovision singer, though we’ll have to wait until November for more details.
We’re glad they’re leaving power with the people. In 2013, when Slovenia internally selected American-born Hannah Mancini, they finished last.

I didn’t pay any attention to EMA this year, but it was really great the last time I watched it in 2011. 2012 had a questionable format – I hope they opt for the style of 2011 or 2014 this time.
