The full versions of the 20 songs competing to represent Malta at Eurovision 2015 are only online a week, but hundreds of y’all have already decided your favourites. As at 22:00 GMT 27 October, 2,209 votes have been cast, and it’s looking like the ladies are the ones to beat.

The Leaders

If the voting at this early stage is anything to go by, Amber is cruising towards victory. With 370 votes (16.75% of all those cast) she is well ahead of her nearest competitors. Will “Warrior” be able to maintain the popular momentum and succeed “Coming Home”?

Amber can’t rest easy just yet. Three more acts, in the form of Chrisabelle, Sisters (Ekklesia) and Jessika, are making steady progress up the leaderboard. All three have approximately 10% of the vote each, and it wouldn’t be a shock to see any of them sneak to the top.

The Stragglers

It’s tight at the bottom too. But the four acts in most trouble seem to be Iona Dalli, Domenique, Corazan and Danica Muscat. All four have failed to attain even 2% of the vote each. Is it time they kissed their Eurovision dreams goodbye?

The Results So Far

1. Amber “Warrior” 16.75%  (370 votes)

6. Raquel “Stop Haunting Me” 6.25%  (138 votes)
7. Glen Vella “Breakaway” 4.62%  (102 votes)
8. Daniel Testa “Something In The Way” 3.85%  (85 votes)
9. Franklin “Still Here” 3.71%  (82 votes)

(-). Domenique “Take Me As I Am” 1.72%  (38 votes)
19. Corazon “Secretly” 1.63%  (36 votes)
20. Danica Muscat “Close Your Eyes” 1.58%  (35 votes)

Total Votes: 2,209

The Poll

Of course this could all change. There are another four weeks (well almost) before the poll closes. So go on, vote now! You can vote for as many contestants as you like, but you can only vote ONE time. Be sure to check the box next to every act you want to support before submitting your votes. Voting ends on Thursday 20 November at 17:00 CET—just ahead of the Semi Final on 21 November.

“Rush” is my current favorite. The nuns are decent singers with a crap song.

My thing is that, although I think Dr. Gianluca and his siblings have the goods on vocals and arrangement, I think Franklin stands a better chance of appealing to the voters and juries at ESC 2015. If they split the votes, either Chris or Raquel will steal it.

I have heard the top 10 of this poll and here is my opinion: -Amber’s “Warrior” is the best. It reminds me of Sanna’s “Undo” combined with the dynamism of Helena’s “Survivor”, though it is weaker a bit weaker than these. With a few changes it can be excellent! – “Rush” , “Fandago” and “Breakaway” are disgustingly mediocre and mainstream. – “Love and let go” is ok, nothing to die for. – “Beautiful To Me” is almost the same style with Gianluca’s “Tomorrow” but even weaker and irritating. – “Stop Haunting Me” is really cool and relaxing. Wouldn’t have a… Read more »

Lawrence Gray is my absolute favourite!! He has a really beautiful song and his voice is so special and stunning, it is in a class of its own. Really hope this will be The Right Time For Him… Why Not?

The nuns is a shame for ESC and Malta! They really can’t sing but cause their ‘thing’ and specular song about children they will win! it’s a big big shame for music competition and it is the broadcast choice to take them with!

With the right staging, I can see “Warrior” being in the top 5! But if the public wants to go for novelty, we all know the sisters will win…
