Junior Eurovision 2014 takes place in just eight days, and our readers have been busy voting for their favourites in our “Who Will Win Junior Eurovision 2014?” poll. As of 23:30 CET on November 6, you guys had cast nearly 280,000 votes and shared the poll on Facebook more than 13,000 times.  We’re exhausted from all this counting. Due to the high interest among our readers, we’ve decided to extend the poll until November 14 at midnight CET. While we wait for the final result, let’s reviews our current leaders….

Your current favourites

If our readers are any indicator, then Kyiv is definitely calling. The lovely trio Sympho – Nick, who recently chatted with us, has earned a total of 31,390 votes, or almost 12% of all those cast. Is that, like, basically the population of San Marino?!

Krisia Todorova and piano virtuosos Hasan and Ibrahim from Bulgaria follow them closely, and trail by only 1,017 votes.

At the time of our last update, Croatia’s Josie was sitting in last place. Well boy have things changed! The jelly-bean-loving teen now sits in third place with 28,356 votes. Not, it’s still not “game game over” for Josie. You rock!

The host country Malta is currently sitting at the bottom of the list. Although Federica has earned an impressive 1,854 votes, that’s not enough to please our musically demanding readers.

I think Malta can win again. Many adults could be watching and will be amazed by a young female opera singer like Jackie Evancho that will drive them to vote. I would like to see Italy do well too.

I wouldn’t trust this poll TBH. In the poll for ”Who will win Eurovision 2014?” Ireland was head and shoulders above the field. If the poll was right (which it was far from), we would have been going to Dublin in May. I definitely don’t think Ukraine will win again. I think the Netherlands, Malta, Belarus or Bulgaria will win this year. But I personally want Sweden to win. 😀 If Ireland debut next year, I really hope we have the same first time luck as Serbia in the real Eurovision in 2007 and win on our first year out.… Read more »

Not worth to vote in these polls, they dont say the truth. Funnily enough these results show exactly the opposite of other polls. Guess money can buy anything ..

I can see Ukraine winning because of the situation there. One can’t be naive enough to assume that such a factor doesn’t play a certain part in the voting calculation by mostly adult voters. I find the song and the presentation very calculated in serving an adult agenda and the girls seem to be channeling a lot of the Zlata Ognevich model for Eurovision superiority. This entry is too angelic, ‘clean’, righteous and virtuous for my sensibilities.

I think favorites to win are : Bulgaria, Belarus
Dark horses for win are: Ukraine, Italy,Georgia
Russia dont have chance because Ukraine crisis and maybe be in TOP 5 on 5 place.
Cyprus and The Netherlads will gets many points from televote but I dont think many points from juries and becuase of that they wili not be in TOP 5
Slovenia,Malta and Serbia will gets many points from juries but I dont think that will gets many points from televote and because of that they wili be out of TOP 5.

This poll is so strange… Ukraine 1st, Croatia 3rd, Montenegro 4th, Serbia 5th, San Marino 6th… And Malta is last?
