Ruth Lorenzo – Spain’s Eurovision Song Contest 2014 act – has gone Top 10 with her single ‘Gigantes‘ (#6) and debut album Planeta Azul (#8).

After placing tenth with her Eurovision entry ‘Dancing in the Rain‘, Ruth has gone from strength to strength on the Spanish charts and has been on non-stop publicity since returning from Copenhagen in May such as this appearance on Los Viernes Al Show on 31st October.

She’s not been content with promoting her new album though. Lorenzo also joined Spanish songstress Monica Naranjo to close her tour in Madrid at the Palacio de los Deportes de Madrid on Friday. The duo performed a duet of Monica’s 2000 hit ‘Sobreviviré’:

Lorenzo also revealed to Spanish magazine HOLA! that she’s already started planning a tour in support of the album and thinks it’ll be before summer 2015.

On her album she told the magazine: I want Spain to know me as a singer and songwriter. I want to convey my truths and my way to help anyone who will listen.”

Though there’s no word on whether the tour will be international or not we are super excited anyway!

Her live performance of ‘Gigantes’ on Antena 3 was defying the laws of gravity and multitasking. I can see a Guinness World Record application pending…
She’s so self-disciplined and over-ambitious that I don’t know if one doesn’t come on the expense of the other.
