Earlier this month, Switzerland’s German broadcaster SRF announced that fans could vote for their favourite entries using their online voting system, as part of the Swiss national selection process. The online votes counts towards 50% of the total vote, with the other 50% coming from the juries.

Once all the votes have been counted and verified, SRF has announced the results. In alphabetical order, meet the nine entries that have made it to the next stage.

SRF Qualifiers for “expert check” at Entscheidungsshow 2015

Andy McSean – “Hey Now”

Arbresha – “Same Stars”

Bubble Beats feat. Sandra Wild – “Run”

Dahi – “Destiny”

Simon Hafner – “There Was A Yesterday”

San Dii – “iMagination”

Thierry Condor – “Open Heart Surgery”

Timebelle – “Singing About Love”

Tiziana – “Only Human”

The lucky nine chosen by SRF will then be put to the test on the Expert Check stage, where they’ll have to perform live in front of a panel of expert juries. They’ll also audition alongside the six acts selected by French language broadcaster RTS, and three acts already confirmed from Italian language broadcaster RSI. SRF studios will broadcast the Expert Check auditions as a webcast from Zürich on 7 December 2014, hosted by Clarissa Tami.

Six acts will be selected for the Swiss national final, 3 from SRF, 2 from RTS and 1 from RSI, which takes place on 31st January 2015.

Instead of rational choice of songs that should work at Eurovision, they prefer to choose something only they like in this moment.

I really like “Same Stars”, “Run”, “Destiny”, “iMagination”, “Singing About Love”, and “Only Human”.

SRF easily has the strongest contenders, but I think Célia from the French broadcaster is my overall winner.
