Romanian Eurovision artists from the noughties have come together for the holiday single “Iarna” (Winter), composed by the “Pe o margine de lume” songwriter Andrei Tudor.
“Iarna” features the voices of Monica Anghel and Marcel Pavel (2002 – “Tell Me Why”), Luminita Anghel (2005 – “Let Me Try”), Nico and Vlad Mirita (2008 – “Pe o margine de lume”), but also Alina Eremia, who represented Romania at the Junior Eurovision in 2005 with “Turai”, and other Romanian artists.
The song has a warm, timeless quality, just what one needs to get into the Christmas spirit real quick. The voices blend beautifully and although the single isn’t meant for hit radio airplay, it is certainly going to please the more traditional music lovers.
The video features all the singers in the studio and out and about on the streets of the Romanian capital Bucharest. We’re certainly glad to see Luminita smiling among them, after the recent troubles in her private life.
