Pull out your credit cards and get ready to sale your mom’s antiques on eBay — Eurovision 2015 tickets go on sale at 9:00am CET on December 15! That’s right people. One month after Eurovision tickets were meant to go on sale, ORF will finally release the first tranche of tickets. You’ll be able to purchase them on Oeticket.com (and over the phone on +43 1 96096). According to eurovision.tv, Oeticket’s system can handle up to 1800 sales per minute. Hopefully you won’t see any spinning beachballs or error messages.

Eurovision 2015: Ticket types and prices

Fans can buy tickets for the three live shows — the first semi-final, the second semi-final and the grand final. There’s also the option of buying tickets for the dress rehearsals of each show, which typically serve as the jury evaulation. Please note: during the dress rehearsal/jury evaluation, there is no live voting at the end. In total there are around 100,000 tickets for the nine shows.

Ticket prices vary by show, and there will be six categories. Prices range from 14 euros for the dress rehearsals to 390 euros for a prime seat in the live grand finale. Within this range there are thousands of tickets priced between 49 to 150 euros.

Will there be more tickets on sale later?

Yes. ORF is still finalizing the layout inside Wiener Stadthalle. Once they determine the exact position of all the cameras, the design of the stage and the location and size of the Green Room they’ll be able to sale even more tickets.

Okay, what about the postcards idea? I’m suggesting the postcards being shot in their respective countries like in 2013 and this year. And yeah, it will feature them doing various activities in a popular spot in their country. In the end, the country’s representative will introduce themselves and their song in their native language.

I’ll be really surprised if tickets are sold out immediately. Austrians aren’t fans of Eurovision..
