Ever wondered if it’s possible to be a social butterfly while still yearning for a man? Meet Pamela Ramljak — one-third of the now disbanded girl group Feminnem, which competed at Eurovision on two occasions. In her latest single “Pecat”, which is Croatian for “stamp”, she narrates the story of a bad boy who has stolen her heart. Despite knowing he’s not faithful she wants him in her life — probably even more than the fancy clothes and jewels she is wearing.

The “stamp” in the title refers to the indelible mark he’s left on her heart. She’s alone in this relationship, but pays no attention to her friends’ advice or the rumours surrounding her guy “Without you, everyone is giving me advice/ but I want them to leave me/ Even if they capture me so I can’t see your face/ the stamp always stays on my heart.”

Does this song leave its mark on our hearts? Yes, but it’s not waterproof. This doesn’t rate among the best songs in Pamela’s glorious solo career, and it’s not particularly memorable. But a small dose of Iberian flavour does a body good, so we’re happy to take it in.
