After the announcement that Ondrej Soukup will compose the Czech entry, we are now even more excited to see who will sing for the Czech Republic at Eurovision 2015. Given their choice of composter, it seems like the Czechs are not fooling around this time — so we are thinking big. On the top of our list right now is platinum-selling Czech-Polish superstar Ewa Farna (who, coincidentally, has worked with Soukup before). We would love to see Ewa on the big stage scoring big. And y’all, she is more than fair game for Eurovision’s Next Top Model too!

Who Is Ewa Farna?

Born to Polish parents living in the Czech Republic, 21-year old Ewa Farna has sung all her life. Starting with talent show victories in both the Czech Republic and Poland at age eleven, she just kept on rising. In fact, she is the youngest commercially-successful singer in her home country. Ewa has released more than ten albums, and is currently a judge on Polish X-Factor (and formerly on Czech & Slovak Superstar).

Why do we want Ewa Farna for the Czech Republic?

Ewa has said before that she identifies solely as Polish, and chooses to keep her music career within Poland and the Czech Republic. But we love her, and we adore her potentially international sound, and think it would be great if she broke out of her box and went pan-European. She may identify as a Pole and only a Pole, but her numerous hits in the Czech language tell another story.

What can Ewa Farna bring to the table?

Ewa Farna has released a plethora of songs in a variety of styles. Y’all can judge for yourself what she can bring:

Do you think Ewa Farna could be the Czech artist to finally bring the nation a bit of Eurovision success?

Somewhere on wirtualnemedia (in comments section) I also found out that Doda is said to be a potential contestant. She’s released her new 3-minutes-long single a week ago, and it is literally everywhere. Poles don’t appear to enjoy it (just look at the YT ratings…), but I wouldn’t be very disappointed if the rumours were to come true. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aII6a0EBknI

Well, according to wirtualnemedia.pl both Polish artist and song have already been chosen, too bad these we’ll be revealed in early March.

Ewa would better represent Poland, because of her name. Lerika is the better choice for the Czech Republic, even though she’s from Russia. Even if Ewa represented the Czech Republic, she’d sing in Czech.

I agree that she’d be great but I also think she’d prefer to represent Poland. She’s stated that she identifies as “a Pole living in the Czech Republic” and not a Czech person. But still the Czech Republic has so many great potential artists and with all this momentum for them after being gone for so long, I think they could win with a good song.

Actually, I believe that if she wanted to perform at ESC, she would represent Poland, since she lives and works there – Poland also has a bigger chance of winning than Czech Republic. I just feel it it; however I might be wrong
