Rumors about Edyta Gorniak have been popping up like weeds, y’all! After spotting a leaked video of a song and a tweet from @escpoland, we are really hoping that #EdytaIsBack really will mean Edyta is back! Now, we have even more reason to hope that Edyta will be coming to Vienna to challenge for the win. The Voice of Poland — on which Edyta has served as a juror — is pushing back its upcoming season from spring to autumn. Could TVP be freeing Edyta up for Eurovision?

It is still to be confirmed whether Edyta will return to the sixth season of The Voice of Poland, but it’s only logical that TVP will be more than willing to move the show in order to accommodate the needs of one of the country’s biggest stars. Last season, she coached Przemyslaw Radziszewski, who finished second. The winning coach was Eurovision 1995 representative Justyna Steczkowska.

Do you think that the rumors are true, and Edyta Gorniak will be in Vienna?

As I translated, there says Edyta is known with scandals and private life in Poland. Thus, I don’t think TVP will send Edyta to Eurovision.

useless speculations, if its true i first want to hear the song sung live. She’s 21 years older so her voice is not that strong anymore…. though i loved her entry in 1994 and her first albums, she became like mariah carey, overrating herself while making worse songs more and more.

I love her but I don’t think it’s a good idea

She was my second favorite to perform at Eurovision, so this news may be conclusive.

She should never return unless both TVP and herself feel confident that she can finish second again, or win. If she returned and flopped, she’d probably be remembered more for that.

I’m not a 90’s kid. But I do admit Edyta was a good performer back in 1994 and deserved 2nd place. She should go back to Eurovision

I would be very happy if she represent Poland. Maybe Poland can finally win the contest if the song is good.

I have literally NO idea who they are, but from what I can see they appear to have first-hand infos from TVP, just browse through all of their tweets. I think wirtualnemedia.pl quoted one of their tweets as a source close to TVP.
I am NOT sure, but they most certainly look so. Why would they change their avatar, background and etc. if they weren’t sure? To make fools of themselves?

@a. – How do you know that ESCPoland have connections in TVP? Who are they?

Loved Edyta’s first English album no doubt … a great 90s memory I still have … but her song from 1994 remains the most boring and excessively overrated crap from 1994’s ESC … why it achieved 2nd place is even beyond me. Nobody had a greater song than Hungary … but after 20 years those are waters gone by and if Edyta is the chosen one this year (which I personally doubt), please a MUCH better song this time around and one that truly deserved all the overrating love the previously is receiving til this very day like vomit.

woooow, they seem pretty sure about it, they made an announcement as if it was official. AND THEY HAVE CONNECTIONS in TVP, so I think we can believe them and embrace Edyta as this years’ contestant!
