Tonight, Finland’s selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2015 kicked off with the first heat of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2015. The six artists performed their songs for the first time live and it was up to the Finnish televoters to decide who would make it through to the final.

Finland’s offering for the night featured boybands, singer-songwriters and Spanish reggaeton. It was Satin Circus, Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät and Norlan El Misionario who received the most votes though and qualified for the final. Therefore Pihka ja myrsky, Hans on the Bass and Vilikasper Kanth had to say goodbye to their Eurovision 2015 dreams.

I was quite suprised in many ways about the first semi finals. First of all, Satin Circus’ live performance was bad. I mean really bad. The singers voice was out of tune and kind of weak and there was no show on the stage at all. They better get a grip in the finals… The only good performances were from Pihka & Myrsky, Norlan and (I hate say this, ’cause I don’t think the song is very good even for punk rock) Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät. I really hope the second and third semi finals are better than this.

For me best 3 songs from finish selection are The heart of light, Mustelmat, All for victory than Ostarilla, Crossroads….

Yay Satin Circus. The other 2, Finland, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?! I really like Sydän ei nuku.

Nobody voted for Aina Mun Pitaa due to the quality of their song or their entertainment value. It is either a statement vote or an “awwww” vote or they’re trying to be funny in an exploitative way to the act. None of these belong in a song contest. The lineup was quite good this year Finland voters performed very poorly this Semi Final.

I didn’t like any of the songs performed in the first heat. I’m the last one to say this but “Aina mun pitää” stood out positively because other songs were so dull/badly performed. And I don’t think Satin Circus will do well in Vienna, it’s too generic! All in all, I think UMK this year sucks compared to 2013 and 2014. None of the songs stand out, we have no winner candidates in our selection.

My favorite from UMK is Satin Circus as well, but remember something, Finland NEVER sends the same thing twice in a row, so I’m very afraid that they won’t send a boy band this year…
Also I’m 80% sure Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät will win the public vote. Juries, please save us from that going to Vienna!

Eurovision song contest haters are voting PKN to win its 100% sure winner. It has nothing to do with music competition its only trolling. People who made decision to let them compete are responsible. What if something happen to them during the eurovision competition??? They are not healthy so its also big risk to take.

I am really worried that Finland will send PKN.
Im glad that they’re doing what they want and represent Downs Syndrome but the song is just awful

Finland sends a band that has a kid with a special mental condition, don’t get me wrong I don’t say he’s a retard and I’m making a joke out of his condition, but all contests like to send people with special conditions to the next round, HOW CHEAP!
And nolan is shit, I’m glad for Satin Circus
