Tonight it was time for HEAT 2 of Supernova 2015 in Latvia. The final 10 artists performed their songs before Latvia’s strict and exacting jury and televoters. I really like Aminata’s song just for how weird and different it is, but something tells me it would not get the respect it deserves at Eurovision.
Aminata is ugly and boring. The only advantage is dark background.

I’m very relieved that Aminata qualified. She has a considerable chance of breaking Latvia’s dry spell this year.

I really hope it’ll be either MNTHA or Aminata in the end. Both songs are of a high quality and would take Latvia to the final after years of non-qualifying.
A pity The Stones didn´t qualify… but I think I´ll go for Aminata after a first listen.

Kinda disappointed for Riga Metro as they were amazing, but Aminata dominating the televote (she had double the votes of Markus Riva at the half way point) made up for this. I hope Supernova 2015 will be a battle between MNTHA and Aminata, but I fear Elektrofolk will win as they’re the type of group Latvia always sends, even though they’d still be the best Latvian entry in years. Please Latvia, send Aminata, she can bring the contest back to Riga.

Why, why, why no High Heels????? That was the craftiest, most creative song of the night!
Wish they had the jury vote first, then televote. If that happened then I bet you wouldn’t have had this ridiculous song “Home” passing through.
At least the obviously deserving songs 9 and 10 got through. Song 5’s not bad either. But song 6, really?
