Vaidas Baumila and Monika Linkyte won Lithuania’s Eurovizjos with top marks from both the televoters and the jury, and we are still celebrating. After several years of mismatched artist-song combinations, Eurovizjos has finally produced a duet filled with life and charisma. We caught up with the Eurovizjos jury, which contained music professionals from Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, to hear their thoughts on choosing the artists for this year’s entry from Vilnius.
Ralf Eilands, the Latvian jury member who represented Latvia in Eurovision 2013, said that Monika and Vaidas won his vote with their performance.
Rosita Civilyte, the Lithuanian juror, said that she thinks the duo will perform with perfection, and that she predicts Lithuania will qualify.
Rene Romkes, the Dutch juror and the producer of Eurovision in Concert, said that he originally couldn’t get the song out of his head when Vaidas performed it in the first week. He believes that the numerous female ballads will cancel each other out and lead the duo to soar to the top in Vienna. Also, he confirmed that Vaidas and Monika are coming to Amsterdam for the concert!
Eric, a Luxembourgish juror who substituted for the previously-standing Georgian juror, saw more charisma in the duo than in Mia’s lackluster performance, and believes that their voices blend well together. He hopes for a top 10 result for Lithuania!

Great song
@bavarson: Overdramatic choice of words there, huh?
The jury at Eurovision is each year more and more sick.
