It’s Eurosong day in Ireland! So it’s the perfect time to check in with Eurovision 2005 singer and Eurosong 2012 finalist Donna McCaul. We recently reported that she’s made it to the blind auditions stage of the The Voice US, but while we wait to see how she gets on, she’s released a new single to keep us entertained. Called “Twisted Fairytale” it is eerie, yet dreamy with a fantastic music video!

The clip starts off with some instruments, before switching to Donna. Her voice reminds me of Armenia’s Aram MP3, but in a good way. The chorus is instantly addictive, with a touch of added drama thanks to it’s abrupt end. Those “na na, na na na na” s make the song quite interesting. The next verse continues, and it’s not long until the fantastic chorus kicks in for a second time. I’m in love with this fairytale!
