After three weeks of UMK semi-finals — and more than a few upsets — Finland has tonight chosen its representative for Vienna. Following a combination of 90% televote and 10% national jury vote, we now know that PERTTI KURIKAN NIMIPÄIVÄT will sing “Aina mun pitää” at Eurovision 2015!
The show itself was remarkable. Finnish contestants of yesteryear, including Softengine (2014), Hanna Pakarinen (2007) and Fredi (1967, 1976), took the stage. Jon Ola Sand — the head honcho of Eurovision — also appeared, wishing all the best to contestants and inviting everybody to Vienna to build bridges.

Some finnish people has said that they voted for like 20-30 times this band, one person, or couples/family members are voted for this 2-3 (or more) times, so i believe that there was a small group of people who voted for this but many many times and they put their money on line. Okay, I’ll go ahead and say it. I don’t think this band really got 37% of the televote. Out of NINE very legit entries (well, eight) THIS band was so overwhelmingly popular that it got nearly 40% of the vote. Out of nine entries this and Satin Circus captured nearly 2/3 of the televote. I would believe it if the comments on this board were split at all but they are nearly universally angry that this won. You cannot understand why we voted for them. It is not because of they have down syndrome, it is because of they want to make a difference in this world and in Finland. For example, Finland has not signed UN agreement that gives rights for the people disabilities even though it has been seven years. The life of the people with special needs is not fun and their activities are greatly limited.
