MAD TV and NERIT will collaborate to produce a glamourous national selection for Greece. Eurosong 2015 will celebrate the 60 anniversary of Eurovision with exciting interval acts and surprising guest performances, most of whom remain a mystery.

DATE AND VENUE ANNOUNCED

NERIT has announced through its Eurovision site that the national final will take place on March 4, at 20:00 CET. Enastron hall will play the part of host venue for Eurosong 2015 – a NERIT and MAD show. You can buy your tickets here, paying half the price of last year’s show. Proceeds will go to charity. NERIT is also running a contest where you can vote for your favourite entry from all 60 years of Eurovision and win tickets for the show.

HELENA PAPARIZOU & FREAKY FORTUNE TO PERFORM

Helena Paparizou, the winner of Eurovision 2005, will return to Greece after a one year absence. “Number One” won the contest exactly 10 years ago, and she plans to drink to that. Also, Freaky Fortune have wished good luck to all the participants and confirmed their performance via their Facebook account.

In addition, RIK reports that Cypriot representative Giannis Karagiannis will visit Athens to sing “One Thing I Should Have Done”.

RECORD LABEL ANGER

Polymusic, a leading Greek record label, has sent NERIT accusing the broadcaster of playing favourites. It claims they did not contact all the labels that are memebers of the International Federation of Phonographic Industry – IFPI — but instead handpicked songs from specific labels. Polymusic is a memember of Greek IFPI and had already chosen an artist and song, but were not contacted as in years past. The suggesetd participant was the young singer Alexandra Koniak.

Now we have the funny situation where the interval acts will be better than the competing songs.
