Over a year ago Ruth Lorenzo had just been selected to sing for Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. A year later, her song ‘Dancing in the Rain’ took Spain back to the Top 10, she scored a Top 10 album and she now has a judging spot on new talent show Levántate.
Ruth Lorenzo on Edurne:
Now she’s taken the opportunity to praise singer Edurne and her entry for the 60th Eurovision Song Contest, ‘Amanecer’ again.
She told los40.com, “I think it (‘Amanecer’) is very Eurovision and a lot of Europe could like it.”
Lorenzo was one of many Spanish Eurovision stars to express their support for Edurne when she was announced as RTVE’s choice to represent Spain at Eurovision 2015 in Vienna.
Lorenzo also confided to los40 that she thinks Edurne has a chance at success in Austria and also offered Edurne some tips for Eurovision:
“The only advice I can give is to be herself. That is what will eventually be broadcast on the TV screen on the final night. Eurovision is a unique opportunity and I believe that all artists have to be true to themselves.”
Edurne will sing ‘Amanecer’ at the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna on May 23.

Dancing in the fuck.. she has no charisma at all RUTH. She could sing any song about love and happiness and I would never believe here. Just a POP doll. Give her some lyrics.. she’ll sing it for you.

Miss Ruth, glad she’s received more recognition compared to her post-X Factor days (which might have been the 1st X Factor I ever watched fully despite being in the US).
Spain is one of the best songs this year. I love Amanecer, I love Edurne and I would love Spain to win.

Spain should score about 250 points in final in in televoting.
I like Ruth Lorenzo and im fan of her music.. 🙂 She showed Espana’s pride in Copenhagen’s Vision with her voice and presense overall…She was one of the selective few artists that stood out from the rest participants…Her, Conchita(obviously as the winner..),Common Linnets & Sanna Nielsen.. I like Edurne this year too.. 🙂 Both spanish entries are very cool & i won’t state about which one i prefer more.. *Amanecer* is on my top10 currently and my top40 list will gonna change completely all the time until May 4 the record.. I’ll reserve my final judgement for the final version of the song, whenever that’s released, but the song is very bland at the moment.
I don’t think Spain will win, but Top 10 might be.
