In the Republic of Georgia performing at Eurovision can only send your career in one direction: up, up, up! The latest ESC stars to prove the point are  Sofia Nizharadze and Anri Jokhadze, both of whom whave accepted gigs as judges on the second season of X Factor Georgia, which will kick off in April.

The show has plenty of other Eurovision connections. Tamta, who took part in the Greek NF in 2007 with the song “With Love”, will also serve as a judge.

Sopho Toroshelidze, Eldrine’s lead vocalist and a Eurovision 2011 star, will serve as musical producer and director. She judged the first season of the show.

The fourth judge is journalist Giorgi Gabunia.

Sofia sang “Shine” at Eurovision 2010, bringing some unforgettable staging. Who can forget the series of bodies splayed on the floor? It was very “morning after the night before” — and very elegant. Her stellar vocals catapulted her to ninth place.

Anri didn’t have as much luck: he failed to qualify for the grand final in 2012.
