@wut, apologies for the noise. We didn’t have a mic with us in Riga. I’ve added subtitles so hopefully you can follow the interview a bit better now. 🙂

If they stage this right, it could be #1. The trick is figuring out a way to show her story that tugs the heartstrings so well all of Europe is in tears (in a happy way).

Also, I think she relies on some parts of the “backing vocals”, which made me wait for her to clearly hear her vocals. The part where she kind of cracked was alarming, though. But not quite as alarming as Paula Seling’s performance in Amsterdam last year. She can still practice while there’s time.

the answer is simple: she wanted to get powerful and louder with the last part, but she couldn’t because the sound people are, well, LATVIAN, and made the music in her earpiece/stage speakers LOUDER – hence we can see her making mistakes when it comes to hitting the correct notes in the last part.

Monika had a problems with sounds. According to news she heard just scream.

agree, the performance was not her best, but she’s just delicate and not used to it. She will kill it in Vienna. Plus, I think she’ll also be in London and couple of other places, so she could practise.

there’s great potential in Monika and I’m sure she’ll show it in Vienna
the first performance might have been a bit off but with every new one things will get better and better for her
just give Monika some time to get used to all the Eurovision buzz
I’m so proud of Monika, I really am

can’t really hear a thing, cause of the crowd, but that’s not your fault. Thank you for doing these interviews, Wiwi? I do love Monika, she’s very natural, her voice is like velvet, she has a story behind her, plus she really is beautiful. I agree, that she might be this year’s dark horse!
