In recent days Bojana Stamenov has released the French and Spanish versions of her song “Beauty Never Lies” — and today she released the glossy official video. Shot in Dundjerski Castle in Kulpin, it features Bojana rocking red sequins in a stately room. As she hits the high notes and works the head bobs, we see a romance unfolding between a ballet dancer (who can kick her legs above her head) and a chiseled and shirtless man covered in dirt. It’s fun. It’s sexy. It’s high-octane. And we love it! This manages to unite fun and sophisticated in one fell swoop and is a good sign of things to come in Vienna.

To me, Bojana’s like a Serbian Aretha Franklin! 🙂

Yes, the last minute of this song is 90s and dated, but it works so well for me. I love that final kick and I hope it qualifies. Come on people, what’s to hate in here?

that being said this is a much better video and it’ll probably eventually take Serbia out of my bottom 10

much more sophisticated
I just wish it was still in Serbian

1:46 to 1:52 is really unecessary
i would imagine it went something like this:
“Doesn’t the ESC have a large gay/bisexual fanbase?”
“Yeah, but nobody likes our current video. What should we do?”
“Abs. Abs everywhere.”
it doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the video either
Spain is also victim to the get-votes-via-semi-nude-guys syndrome

It is like she is the fairy godmother for the girl in the gloomy mansion. People on youtube were complaining the other video was “cheap” even though it was just a collection of what various people sent in and meant to be fun and allow them to contribute.

@Mar
I totally agree with you. I feel like as though the video doesn’t convey the true message of the song well enough.

It’s pretty smart of Serbia to release versions and videos one by one. The reason is given in the comment below this one. The news about Serbian entry are everywhere, making the song more popular.

Saying this feels like beating a dead horse, but I’m dissapointed in this video. If the message of the song is “everyone is beautiful” or “beauty comes in all shapes and forms”, why do the protagonists of the video perfectly fit the preconceived western standard of attractiveness? Does anyone really believe those two models have a hard time with self confidence in their looks? I don’t think so.
Showing a love story with people who don’t look like they stepped out of Vogue would have been more coherent with the message Bojana and her song want to get through.

Oh! It makes me like the song again. The other video just was the problem.
