Edsilia Rombley was one of two hosts at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam and hot on the heels of that she’s been announced as the Dutch spokesperson for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
Edsilia has a strong historic association with the Eurovision Song Contest, placing 4th for the Netherlands in 1998 and appearing again for Amsterdam in Helsinki in 2007.
The Eurovision connection is bound by family too: Edsilia is Trijntje Oosterhuis’s sister-in-law!
Wait, does that mean hottie Tim Douwsma won’t be the Netherlands’s spokesperson?
Unfortunately it does. We fell in love with Tim last year, but the hottie won’t be making it two years in a row!
Edsilia will present the points for the Netherlands live on behalf of AVROTROS during the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 on May 23 in Vienna.
Trijntje Oosterhuis will sing ‘Walk Along‘ during Semi Final 1 on May 19.
Are you excited to see Edsilia at Eurovision again? Or do you wish Tim was back? Comments below!

Noooooo I wanted Tim again >:(
Her 1998 entry was great. But her 2007 was too generic… it stood no chance..
good for her to reveal the votes.
@Nicky1991: I was just kidding, obviously, but you’re the one filling up every comment section with your Malta nonsense. Even on this article, which has nothing to do with Malta’s entry, you began to discuss Malta’s chances and all that crap.
@WTF, you can right whatever you want, and do you really mean that.
you can’t say anything too much , i thought i could have my own opinion.
and why do you involve Malta in this conversation. you are the one spamming this site with complete nonsense. so Wiwibloggs please remove user WTF from this site.
@Nicky1991: I will pray for Malta’s failure… Every day, every night… With every fiber of my being, with every breath I take… The feeling of humiliation and defeat amongst the island nation’s people and the online supporters alike will be the only thing capable to cure my thirst… My soul shall not find peace again until Amber Bondin leaves Vienna in tears… This is what you have brought me to, Nicky… I hope you are pleased…
you saw Tim on tv for maybe 30 seconds….you fall in love that easy?? DAMN SON

She was so robbed in 2007. I still cringe when I think about it…
Looks like it’s turning into a family event for the Netherlands then 🙂
Yeah i agree mostly with your words Nicky..
I want Switzerland & Poland to qualify but i really do not think so that this will happen though..
She was present dutch points in 2007 with funny commentaror from Netherlands .
@Mario, i think the second semi final is easier for Norway and Malta and Sweden, as there are bland and boring acts, Cyprus ( Good Voice, dull song), San Marino ( Potential good singers, boring song), Portugal ( Horrible live performance), Poland (it doesn’t not have a spark which catches me), Ireland (Good Singer, Good song but not for Eurovision), and final act going home for me is Switzerland ( i like the singer, but the song is not strong).
Really cool!
Well literally indeed was *On Top Of The World* in 2007…. <3
Those were the great un4gettable glorious times! <3
I really miss them as hell(sinki) !<3
Hopefully Trisha will manage to save herself & gets her qualifying ticket 4 the final… 🙂
Holland's dutch song is my 2nd most liked on the 1st SF & my 4th most liked overall <3 🙂
Yes! “On Top of the World” was my absolute favorite in 2007, so I’m glad we’re getting a little bit of Edsilia in the show.
Tim Douwsma is so overrated, he can’t even sing and i’m from the Netherlands.
