From The Next Star of Israel to Eurovision in Concert, Nadav Guedj, Israel’s “Golden Boy”, is used to the spotlight. So it’s totally natural for him to allow cameras to follow him as he prepares for Eurovision 2015. You don’t have to speak Hebrew to enjoy his new video diaries, which he’s updating weekly.

We’re used to seeing Nadav working it in the club, but we’re less accustomed to seeing him in the Alpine mountains. Well, for his video postcard shoot, the 16-year-old headed to Lech and shot this selfie. That’s how you work your angles, folks.
It was freezing and it was early in the morning, but Nadav put on his happy face. He was amazed by the beauty and and by the fact it took two days to film a 30-second clip. After the shoot was over, Nadav headed back to the hotel, only to realize that he had forgotten his hotel keys on the set. “Golden Boy” was almost “Frozen Boy” — but everything worked out in the end.

In April, Nadav — and around 20 other acts — traveled to Amsterdam to perform in front of thousands of shrieking Eurovision fans at Eurovision in Concert. It was about a lot more than singing. It was an opportunity to chat with the world’s press and get the word out about his song. As it turns out, wiwiblogger William has a little cameo in this video diary entry (you can’t hear it, but they are discussing Nadav’s now-famous shirtless BBQ photo). He may only be 16 but his English is seriously good.
