In recent years millions of Romanians have moved abroad in pursuit of work — and a chance to make life better for their children. But in doing so they leave those children behind. Romania’s Voltaj sing about the pain of separation in their Eurovision 2015 song “De La Capat”. wiwiblogger Chris sat down with the band after their first Eurovision rehearsal to learn more about their goals. The band’s members are fathers themselves and their friends have had to move abroad to support their families. They realize this has a detrimental effect on the children’s lives, so they set up a project last autumn in coordination with the song’s release to raise awareness.

@Eurofan2015 – What you say is true, but is obvious that Eurovision is no longer a song contest. Staging, mimics and the look of the singer seems to have more value than the song itself. So if you don’t send a hot looking singer and if you don’t have the means of creating an impressive theatrical staging, nobody will care about your song. It makes no sense to me, but this is how things work nowadays in Eurovision “Song” Contest.
Their message is an overwhelming one. I think the song and the band are very good, the video is also very good, very sensible and it is quite odd that there are such a few reactions to Eurovision Romanian 2015 performance.
Romania’s song has beautiful message & is meaningful.. I find it not bad at all..
