William: Belarus’ Uzari & Maimuna did not bring an oversized hourglass onto the stage today, and Maimuna did not jump inside and writhe around with snakes. But ya know what? This performance still had more drama and energy than during their first rehearsal. The camera angles are tigther, so the stage no longer swallows the performers. There’s greater interplay and interaction between Uzari & Maimuna, and the performance now has a greater sense of trajectory. There’s a moment when Uzari and Maimuna are both walking forward and it feels like they’re going to step out of the TV and in your living room. Love it. The final sequence features a watery-blue LED and at times it looks like they are walking on water.

Padraig: A major improvement from Belarus. Camera angles were fine-tuned and tightened. Uzari & Maimuna are no longer swallowed by the stage – they own it! Uzari’s vocals are on point! And Maimuna dazzles. They still sorely miss some props, but at this point it’s clear they won’t be getting anything. I wrote them off on Tuesday. Now they just might make it.

Another terrible display of a lack of effort. I was like “when will all the a-ha’s are going to stop?”
The LED behind is terrible, he is not a good singer, nothing happens, it falls completely flat. Non-qualifier.
Why is there toilet roll flying around in the background? Ahh Belarus, I like the music and the violinist, but lyrically, it doesnt appeal to me. Should qualify though, it is catchy, even if it doesnt make sense, plus the motherland (Russia) is in the same semi, this will be grand 🙂

Although i actually liked much more their initial version 4 their entry *Time*…If they had went with that version i would had Belarus as my 2nd most liked song on the SF when now it is my 7th most liked..
I hope that Uzari & Maimuna will get their qualifying ticket 4 the final <3 🙂
