William: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Maria Elena looked and sounded just as fabulous in her second rehearsal as she did in her first. The circular white lights behind her are stunning and give her sparkly dress even more sparkle. Some say this lacks the “wow” factor, but for me that’s just because the whole thing is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S.  Who needs a single moment when you can have three minutes of BAM!

Greece’s second rehearsal at Eurovision 2015

Chris: Maria-Elena was vocally strong once again in the second rehearsal of “One Last Breath”. Some of the camera angles could have been a little tighter perhaps, but the lighting behind her works particularly well. The lights behind Maria Elena contract and expand, which doesn’t really come across on the screen. It’s an amazing effect and we hope it will come across on TV. It still feels like the song could do with something extra during one of the prolonged notes, though. As it stands, there isn’t a “wow” moment for me in this song and it really feels like it needs one.

Padraig: Maria looks and sounds stunning. Whoop-de-doo. I could say that about almost everyone we’ve seen today. “One Last Breath” is just so generic and the staging does nothing to elevate it to something better. A probable qualifier, purely down to it being from Greece.

I was hoping that Greece was going to fail this time ( only because they have a perfect qualifying score and I am a bad person ) but this doesnt seem to be the year….

Greece is seriously amazing at staging. They deliver every single time. They took a song that was going to stay in the semi according to the odds and turned it into a surefire qualifier. Belgium, Fyr Macedonia and Albania should take notes.

Her gown is splendid (I love the sparkle and the peek-a-boo with her legs on black heels from inside the slit) and she oozes self-confidence. Good luck from Greece!

I don’t think the song is terrible, but it isn’t exactly spectacular either. It has grown on me since I first heard it though.

Not bad, but it misses firework, a bit of choreo and wind machine..It’s gonna be kinda empty this way.

@mike
Her voice is amazing no arguing there ….. But what about the song ?
After all It is the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST … Have your heard anything like this on the radio in the last 15-20 years?
I am just sad cos they did not use her abilities in a much more modern way, this is just dated, cheesy and has sparkles.

OMG..How many times do I have to tell you that Eurovision is not about fireworks, fire or something stunning as a surprise…Eurovision is all about voice and song…And for that Greece deserves at least a top 5 at the semi-final and a top 10 at final

One of my favourite songs but the staging needed to be improved when the song really kicks into gear. Maria just does not get the support she needs to deliver it as it deserves. Oh and wind machine please!

She is obviously saving her voice. In the semi final she is going to be perfect. But bring the wind machine back.

Well i think that my country Greece will manage to qualify to the final even as 9th-10th maybe..
Last year we managed to even finish 7th on the SF so this year that our song is liked much more than our last year’s we have chances 4 a still good enough result..

My Take so far: Moldova Q ( Please Qualify, so I’ll vote for you in the final ) Armenia NQ( The 30second clip looked good, a whole 3 minutes bored me to death though ) Belgium Q ( I loved it ) The Netherlands BQ/BNQ ( Meh ) Finland NQ ( Just No ) Greece BQ ( Public will have thus down as a NQ but the Jury will eat this up ) Yet to come: Estonia Q ( Song is enough to see it through ) Macedonia BQ ( Lovely song, I don’t know about the other dudes in… Read more »

I’ve seen video with Russian staging shown as it will be shown in TV. Now I take this into consideration. That’s why I do not give a chance for Estonia, because it will look very poorly in TV.

Moldova NQ (dull entry)
Armenia NQ (dull entry)
Belgium Q (more subtle than dull craps from Moldova and Armenia)
Netherlands Q (good song should save it)
Finland Q (dull entry but very original)
Greece Q (dull entry but this is Greece)
Estonia NQ (weak boring staging)
Macedonia NQ (weak and disorganized)
