Today the big five countries – Italy, Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, France – along with Australia will draw their places in the grand final running order. Austria already drew 14th at the HOD meeting in March. The draws will take place during each country’s press conference after their second rehearsal. We will update this post throughout the morning, so check back for more updates.

LOL @ all u haters, Italy has a BIG chance of winning. Jury’s dont care about the draw but they will support Italy, you just cant ignore their great vocals. Viewers will be impressed aswell, it’s so classy. Im so happy Belgium and Australia are in the first half. Australia is nothing special and Belgium has some moments which are just weird, it has not a broad appeal. Tonight Sweden will slay and take over the charts, just keep an eye on esctracker. Sweden, Italy and Russia for the win <3

Because its such a big final why dont that draw quarters?
I’ve always thought it should be quarters and not halfs to make it more fair.
I mean of you drew the first half then you could be 1st or 13th.
Whereas if you had quarters you could have the first quarter being 1st to 6th meaning fairer way of deciding who performs first.
e.g.
1-6 first quarter
7-13 second Quarter
14-20 third quarter
21-27 fourth quarter
Italy, Spain and France in second half bodes well for them, especially given their stellar rehearsals. They’re all in my top 3 now!

Not surprised that UK & Australia was drawn to 1st half(even Israel if they qualify tonight). There’s no doubt they’ll get them to open the show (or 1-10 positions). They wanna get all the fun & different songs out of the way before we get to the serious ballads. Oh can Vienna get anymore obvious?? Let’s hope this isn’t a disadvantage..

So many dull songs or ballads in the second half so far, lets hope Sweden, Slovenia and Israel get through, draw second half to liven it up or I’ll be asleep.
I doubt they will put Australia first, they will most likely get 13. Don’t think UK will open the show either because they were first only back in 2012.
I hope Mans gets 1st half and then they place it 2nd in the running order to see if he can destroy the “2nd place doom slot” curse.
They might as well put it in the order themselves because the contest will be boring all the ballards have not been shoved at the second half and all the up beat ones which keep the crowd going are at the start. I hope isreal isn’t in the first half. The uk will most likely be placed 2nd. UK will perform 2nd or 3rd, almost a guarantee. A ballad will open, then UK. The BBC suck, we might have gotten 10th or something if our song is decent butt there’s be no point giving this a good placing.
I’m happy Edurne is in the second half, makes Madrid 2016 all the more likely!
And I’m so happy Australia is in the first half, because while I love the aussies and wouldn’t mind them returning every year, I don’t like the song and I don’t think it should win.
I’m almost certain that the UK will open the show.
They should really pick do the 1st/2nd half, thing after the second semi final- with all the countries. We now have a situation that’s extremely unfair for the qualifiers of the second semi final, where most of them will get 1st half- through no fault of their own.
Well one thing is for sure, if Sweden will be in the first half (we’ll qualify for sure) we won’t win, with Italy and Russia in the second half. It’s funny though, all my favorites from semifinal 1 and my favorites from these seven are in the second half. I’ll probably sleep the first hour of the show 😛
Last year the first half of the draw scored way more points than the second half. The juries won’t be impressed by the draw at all and they have a lot more voting power because they can vote songs down to the bottom, so the allocation doesnt matter as much as people think it does.

Absolutely typical response from the BBC: “Hey, we keep trying – the British public can’t vote for the UK act, so WE choose what we think the rest of Europe will like” – no sense of national pride, no involvement of the UK public, no democracy, just “we know better”. Get out of the 19th century, BBC – the British Empire is GAWN, and those grubs on the street whose judgement you eschew are the people who voted Conchita to victory last year!!
and sweden will probably get 2nd half as well, if they do there will be really no doubt that they are the winner
