Marta & Vaclav ooze sexual chemistry on stage. But on the red carpet at the Eurovision Opening Ceremony they let us know that it ends with the performance. As the pair drink wine and toast each other, they tell us they are more “like brother and sister” than a romantic couple, and that they pour any and all sexual tension into their voices — so “all the sex is coming out of the mouth”.
Marta also explained why she’s taken to throwing her shoes off during their performance of “Hope Never Dies“. Apparently it’s a throwback to her time performing with her band Die Happy. Marta said they expect her to throw them off on stage, as “if I really want to express my emotions, they’re in my way”.
