Anggun — the Indonesian-born French singing sensation — has landed on the cover of Rolling Stone, perhaps the world’s most prestigious music magazine. The Indonesian edition of the mag features a lovely cover image and an in-depth interview with the “A nos enfants” singer. Among other things, she shares her thoughts on family, her upcoming album “Toujours un ailleurs”, and Indonesian president Joko Widodo. She also gives her view of Indonesia from abroad. But for now we’re most interested in the view of Anggun: In this sizzling image she is giving nature life and balancing gold and green like a true high fashion goddess.

Anggun’s Rolling Stone cover

This pic is further evidence that Anggun knows how to work her arms. This first came to our attention in her 1998 video for “Snow on the Sahara”, where she moved her arms and hands like a traditional Balinese temple dancer. We saw it again in 2012 when she won our flash poll for best movement of hair behind the ear in a Eurovision 2012 promotional photo. Who can forget this image? No one.

France, Anggun, 2

Are you guys dying to hear Anggun’s upcoming album, which translates as “Always Elsewhere”? Do you think it’ll touch on her personal story of living between Indonesia and France? Sound off below!
