Our hearts are still bleeding over Portugal’s exit from Eurovision 2016. And while a lot of fans are crying and cursing RTP, Portuguese artists are just getting on with their careers. That’s the case for Luciana Abreu – part of the group 2B, which sang at Eurovision 2005. After years of hard work from Luciana, folks are FINALLY recognising her raw talent.
Having appeared on “Portuguese Idol”, “Festival da Canção”, and “Your Face Sounds Familiar”, and currently hosting a daytime TV show, Miss Abreu has just released her first single – “It Hurts too Much”. Somewhat predictably, it’s all about a relationship that goes wrong and the pain and letting go. We’ve all been there, but not all of us have been there with a pink wig and a massive frock.
First: the music video. Luciana’s creative team needs to find something more suitable for her – cuz she ain’t a member of Dolly Style. She has the voice and the looks of a Diva, so why do put her in that 80s quinceanera dress with that headpiece? Hurts my eyes.
Second: the music. Abreu serves up a good mid-tempo tune, which demonstrates her abilities. But not all of them. Please give this woman a decent power ballad. She’s got the right mix of sassy and classy to become Portugal’s new pop princess, but she needs a song that really shows off her vocals. It’s the only way she’s going to compete with younger Portuguese stars like Agir, David Carreira and Carolina Deslandes. But at least she’s sent the scene a message — she’s here and she’s bright and ready to fight!

Well i get the videoclip… She is manipulated like a helpless muppet doll that is controlled by her man boyfriend.. Well i guess that this is better than be in ”relationship” with a man that he might not do that but just doesn’t care much 4 you or just be cold without loving you..
