It’s the day of the Junior Eurovision Eire final, and in just a few hours we will know the identity of Ireland’s first ever Junior Eurovision representative – colour us excited! The lucky singer will also complete the line-up for this year’s contest, as the other 16 countries have already chosen their entries.
But who should win? All week we’ve been asking y’all to vote for your favourites in our poll. After counting 540 votes, we can now the reveal the act you want to see in Sofia. Topping the poll in a landslide of 264 votes (48.89%), Zena Donnelly and “I d’Aonair” (Alone) is clearly the readers’ choice. The 13 year old is bringing some Ella Henderson style realness to the stage and we love it!

Aimee Banks occupies the runner-up spot. Her ballad “Réalta Na Mara” (Star of the Sea) harks back to Ireland’s last adult victory with Eimear Quinn in 1996, and moved 171 (31.67%) of you to back her as the winner. David Kennedy’s “Fuar” (Cold) and Muireann Vaughan’s “An Miongháire” (The Smile) are the competition’s dark horses, polling 75 and 30 votes respectively.

Junior Eurovision Eire Wildcard
However, there’s a twist! Following reports earlier in the week, the Junior Eurovision Eire Twitter account confirmed yesterday that two eliminated acts will return as wildcards.
It’s official there will be 2 Wildcards coming back for tomorrow nights final. Who would you like to see sing again? @TG4TV #JESCEire
— JESCEire (@JESCTG4) November 7, 2015
The pair will compete against Zena, Aimee, David and Muireann for the Irish ticket to Bulgaria. Who do you think deserves a lifeline? And could any of the eliminees steal victory from one of the four heat winners?
Junior Eurovision Eire Viewing Details
The show is scheduled for 20:30 local time (21:30 CET). Irish viewers can see it on TG4, while those watching from abroad can tune in to the livestream.

Aimee banks full entry
I want Aimee to win, but if Kelly Irwin comes back, I would like to see who wins between them.
@Cathal I seriously like Davids song, but my country (Sweden) doesn’t participate this year =( so if the online voiting isn’t running, I don’t really care if a song that is worse than David in my opinion, but would make a better result in Jesc, wins.
there was suppose to be a one in there between when and of
I think a lot of people seem to forget that Aimee banks song was written by Jonas glandikoff ( I can’t spell his name :O), that could be a decisive factor when it comes to a vote between 3 people when of those 3 people had an entry written by him for ESC.
I have started to like Aimee more so I have changed my toplist(but I still prefer David). Here is it:
1. David Kennedy (-)
2. Aimee Banks (+2)
3. Zena Donelly (-1)
4. Murieann (-1)
Are people here trying to sabotage Ireland? If we sent David we would come last without question… there are only 2 acts ( unless the wildcards spring a surprise) that could get us a good result, they are Zena and Aimee. I have an awful feeling that the juries may have liked one of the failed qualifiers.
David is best choice for Ireland , than Zara. With them Ireland have some chance for good result TOP 10 or even TOP 7 from 4 to 7.
I’ve added up all the points (from YouTube and the comments here) and these are the results
………………………………………………………..
1st-Zena Donnelly~ I D’aonar(Alone) = 111 Points
2nd-Aimee Banks~ Réalta Na Mara(Stars Of The Sea)= 110 Points
3rd-David Kennedy~ Fuar(Cold)= 104 points
4th-Muireann Vaughan~ An Miongháire(The Smile) = 91 Points
I want any of the final 4 to win except Muireann. I would prefer David not to win but wouldn’t mind if he did. As for the wildcards Rachel Galvin and Kelly Irwin for me
@ Daniel, a lot of this year’s JESC entries are hardly musical masterpieces
I reckon Zena or Aimee’s songs would be more than good enough to compete in this year’s Contest.
Okay, thank you!
Eva Campbell better be back!
Zena, please!!!!
The songs are two minutes just so the show runs quick, the winning song will be extended to three minutes. @jr esc nl
I’m actually so excited for the final, I dunno whether I want Aimee Banks or Zena Donnelly to win, as for the wildcards: Eva Campbell and Sophie Halligan!
To add on to jr esc nl, will all the songs be revamped and extended, because none of these, will the tiniest exception of Zena, are, for me, not a good quality song to debut Ireland in the contest.
are all the songs really just 2 minutes long or are it short versions of the songs?
