Poli Genova — the host of Junior Eurovision 2015 — isn’t the only Bulgarian pop star dipping her pedicured toe into JESC this year. Today the Bulgarian press has revealed that Joanna Dragneva, who sang for Bulgaria at Eurovision 2008, will host the Opening Ceremony on November 15 at 20:30 Bulgaria time. Time to get your dancing shoes out and RSVP!

About Joanna Dragneva

Joanna was the lead singer of house-electro band Deep Zone until 2011. They’re perhaps best known for their 2008 collaboration with DJ Balthazar at Eurovision in Belgrade. Their funky club song “DJ, Take Me Away” finished 11th in the second semi-final, narrowly missing out on the grand final. We’d seriously love it if she pulled out this red dress with matching stockings for Sofia!

JESC 2015: Opening Ceremony

The 90-minute gala will take place at Sofia’s National Palace Of Culture. The festivities, which will be broadcast live, will see all 17 delegations parade down the red carpet, where Joanna will welcome them to the city and ask each of them a question or two. They’ll then proceed to a private party with the international press. Below you can watch some of our red carpet and party footage to get a taste of what will go down.

If you have any specific questions for any of this year’s acts, please let us know below and we’ll do our best to get you the answers.
