Melodifestivalen is without a doubt the biggest and most hyped national selection out there. Today, after months of speculation, SVT has finally revealed the 28 acts competing in the 2016 edition. We’ll see a number of comebacks, including Martin Stenmarck, who represented Sweden in Kyiv back in 2005, and Samir & Viktor, Isa, Molly Petterson-Hammar and Dolly Style — all of whom debuted in the contest last year. Ace Wilder, who lost to Sanna Nielsen by just two points in 2014, will also return. Molly Sandén, who has sung on the Melfest stage two times, will sing a song written by her boyfriend Danny Saucedo. It’s not all about the Swedes. Finland’s Krista Siegfrids will make her Melodifestivalen debut after representing her homeland in Eurovision 2013.

The next question to ask is, who will sing last in each of the semifinals? Given last year’s outcomes, I’m willing to bet that, once again, whoever gets the final spot each week will be guaranteed to go straight to the final; and I think it will depend on the odds (during the week when they decide the singing order) and the reputation of the contenders. I may be alone here (as seen by survey results) but I am really excited to see David Lindgren back. I really enjoyed both of his entries in 2012 and 2013 and think he would make a great winner! Obviously some crowd favorites like Ace and Molly are great to see, but I think David will be great!

But since 2011, every odd year a male solo singer is sent, every even year is a solo female. And they have all had one titled songs…therefore I have really high hopes for Molly PH!

Now, I really like the two Mollys but tbh I had enough of Sweden.I want some crappy song to win , so we don’t have another win for Sweden. I know , I know that’s very immature but srsly I’m bored seeing Sweden being at the top 3 for winning, in the odds.
I really think Molly (Sanden) will be my favourite in March. #YOUniverse Although I think Ace, Lisa Ajax and Isa will be great too.

Molly Sandén and Molly Pettersson Hammar have a big shot at winning Melodifestivalen 2016 (I prefer Molly Sandén with a song like Freak or Phoenix). Nice to see Dolly style, Oscar, Ace, Isa and Samir and Viktor, but i’m kinda suprised that Dinah nah isn’t participating amoung the contestants. So sad that Mariette didn’t returned :/

Only Molly Sandén …. she is a skilled, talented and credible singer … but hopefully Saucedo wrote something worth her talent and not worth his “body” and his “look at me you love me you can’t resist me”. Otherwise … I expect some killer song from the other Molly. Ace Wilder? Ain’t got no time for that.
Thank GOD for once Kempe has injected some brains into his head by submitting only one song this time around. I thought his desperate attempt to always wanting to win this would never end.
Looking forward to Ace, Lisa and Mollys the most. Krista should be interesting but the fact that she’s hosting UMK is quite interesting as she could represent Sweden this yr.
