ITALY: Sanremo 2016 artists revealed including ANNALISA and ARISA

Today is the big day for Italy! Pretty much everyone in the country has stopped what they’re doing to sit in front of the TV. They’re dying to hear the voice of Carlo Conti, the perma-tan TV host and artistic director of Sanremo 2016, announce the 20 artists who will compete in this year’s edition of the festival.

The long-lasting Italian music festival, which is also the basis of Eurovision, will turn 66 in February but remains the most watched and most talked-about television program in the country. But Eurofans know it primarily as RAI’s national selection for Eurovision 2016.
