Lithunaia’s LRT has revealed the names of the 28 finalists which will compete in the country’s national selection for Eurovision 2016. The list includes several established artists from the Lithuanian music scene, including Donatas Montvydas aka Donny Montell of Eurovision 2012 fame. As we previously reported, the “Love Is Blind” singer is hoping to return to the song contest with “I’ve Been Waiting For This Night”. The full list is as follows:

Following complaints from last year’s contestants, the 2016 selection has undergone a number of changes. Most notably, entrants will be split into two streams – artists without their own songs and artists with their own competing entries. A total of nine episodes are confirmed for Eurovizijos atranka 2016. A voting combination of 50% televoting with 50% jury votes will be used throughout the competition. Jury votes will be used in the event of a tie. More details can be found here.

Such a long process, so bad entries
I was hoping those ‘changes’ would be the shows format. It’s so confusing and hard to get behind any song or singer.
This is why Lithuania will never win Eurovision, you start in a mess and you end in a mess.
The singers from the list I know are Ruslanas, Ruta, Donatas and Aiste. I’m curious about Aiste’s entry. Her “Troy on fire” (2008) entry was awesome. I’m still wondering how she didn’t win the national final that year.
I would vote him in based on his cute factor. Unashamed.
