Malta second rehearsal

The EBU has revealed the Junior Eurovision 2015 split results. For once, they suggest that the public and juries were in agreement, at least in so far as the winner was concerned.

Malta’s Destiny Chukunyere and Armenia’s Mika occupied first and second spots respectively in both sets of results. Y’all can read the full jury and televote split below. The full jury and televote scores from each country are available on the Junior Eurovision website.

These do not include the automatic 12 points awarded to all countries by the EBU, nor the results of the Kids’ Jury.

  1. Malta 157

Junior Eurovision 2015: Who the jury hurt

The jury helped Shalisa from the Netherlands more than anyone else, giving her 44 more points than the public. They also threw major love at Ruslan Aslanov from Belarus (+40) and Australia’s Bella Paige (+35). Bulgaria’s  Gabriela Yordanova & Ivan Stoyanov suffered most at the hands of the jury, receiving a massive 63 fewer points compared to the televote. San Marino’s Kamilla Ismailova was also hit hard (-36). Somewhat surprisingly, Ireland’s Aimee Banks (-24) and Slovenia’s Lina Kuduzovic (-21) were also hurt. Prior to the contest, both girls would have been considered by many to be potential jury favourites.

A positive difference shows the jury helped an act, while a negative difference shows they hurt them.

I am glad of Ireland, it was my nr 8. The jury robbed Bulgaria and Ukraine, Bulgarias vocals were not on point but 16th is to lowe, however 5th wad to high so yeahhh. Georgia was a hott mess and deserved last in both votings. Surprisingly Macedonia got 15th by televote and Australia only a 13th place. How did Albania come 4th by televote like nobody really liked it, but i did do i’m happy. Ukraine was robbed and as it is an Eastern country witch was liked i do not know how it only came 11th. Serbia and Italy… Read more »

@Petar I was glad that Sympho-Nick stayed in the top 8, they were my 3rd place. But Anna is my 2nd all time favorite in the contest.

I don’t really understand why Malta was first with the juries. The vocals were perfect but I didn’t hear a lot of elements in the song that I thought would attract juries. I suspected that juries would rank Armenia very high given the cool retro sound. We knew that Belarus would be a jury favorite. If I were a jury member I would have put Slovenia in 1st place, but I am soooo glad that it managed to stay in the Top 3 in the final results. Nearly every Eurovision there is a fan-favorite power ballad that scores low unexpectedly… Read more »

I can sort of understand the jury results. Slovenia’s vocals were a tiny bit shakey in the 2nd refrain. It was very minor but the three above her were indistinguishable from their recordings.

Sometime juries love trace of opera, see result from Malta last year at Eurovision.
3 rd place with jurie 113 points (Armenia was 2nd with 114) and only 7 with televote 64 points, in combined votes from countries 4 place with 116 points.

What a tragedy for Slovenia they only came 4th in the jury……………

I know people are upset about the jury vote for Slovenia but let’s keep it in perspective. Malta and Armenia were unanimously first and second. The difference in Slovenia from them, as well as Belarus in the jury vote was quite a lot. So I’m not sure if Slovenia could have done any better than they did. Unless the argument is that the jurors should have placed Slovenia higher than Malta, Armenia, and Belarus, thus robbing them of the runner-up position potentially. Nevertheless, congrats to Slovenia!

What the actual heck. I hate juries and both the televote now.. Jury: Ukraine 13th
Televote: Ukraine 12th, my favorite came this low? She is officially robbed!

I knew the juries would love Belarus. Kudos to them for keeping Ruslan and the best male performance of the night in a very respectable 4th place, over that overrated piece of crap from Albania. People raging over Slovenia being downgraded by the juries – thank your gods it wasn’t more. I was sadly expecting Lina to flop. Australia didn’t appeal to the televoters, but the juries loved that. Cool! Ireland shows again a fact that everybody should know by now in Eurovision – juries hate any trace of opera! Alenka Gotar, Malena Ernman, Amaury Vasilli, Cezar, Il Volo and… Read more »

I am SHOCKED Malta won the televoting. I was sure Destiny was like 2-5 with televoters as Malta is always downgraded by those votes. Totally deserved win !!

Ireland deserved to be in TOP 10 with juries instead of Italy. I wili put Ireland in position whre is Albania 6 place and Albania wili be in 10 place instead of Italy.
Australia and Georgia deserved to be in TOP 10 in televote instead of Bulgarian and San Marino, i will change Australia with Bulgaria and Georgia with San Marino.

I forget Netherlans is also so underrated by televote. With juries Bulgaria is also underrated.
San Marino had good song, but she don t have good vocals live.

Italy was so overrated by juries, Ireland so underrated by juries. I m suprise with so little points for Australia by televote. In televote so overrated Albania, Bulgaria, San Marino and so underrated Australia.

Surprised Ireland beat 7 songs in the televoting in a prodomintly eastern song contest with ballad sung in Irish that was stuck bang in the middle!

Next time my guy says something I’ll follow it, I always had a feeling Albania would be a suprise dark horse but my head just never agreed!

Also, how could a professional jury put Georgia above Ireland?

Just shows that the shine has rubbed off on Australia.
And that the Juries don’t know much.

I can understand San Marino coming low in the juries but Ukraine and Slovenia coming lower just shows how weird they are.

This year has been a strange one for ESC and JESC Who’d of though Sweden this year would have been a jury favorite?

I guess Australia just blast a massive hole in the voting.

Who’d of guessed that the public are better at picking high quality music than ‘the juries’

Eugene may people didn’t vote because she had easily the worst vocal performance of the night and the piece of plastic she sung wasn’t enough to cover that up…

What s strange thing! The juries have proven once again they aren’t needed! They lowered Slovenia!! SLOVENIA!!! Who are always underrated! I’m proud that the televoters have changed this year they have proven that they are able to vote by themselves! Ireland 14th! Televotes 10 these people are really against opera. Get rid of the juries!!

I’m glad Ireland was liked. The change in position for Bulgaria though! 5th with Televote, 16th with Jury. Surprised the Televote didn’t go for Australia as much too!

I’m rather surprised at Ireland doing better with televoters than juries, but the biggest surprise is Shalisa being last with the televote.
