WATCH: Cleo serves monochrome realness in "Zabiore Nas"

With the curtains closing on 2015, Poland’s Cleo — Europe’s favourite Slavic Girl — has released the music video for her new single “Zabiore Nas” (I’ll Take Us).

And where exactly will we go, Cleo? Certainly not back to Eurovision 2014: There’s no sign of butter churners or washer women in the new music video. Unlike her Eurovision entry and subsequent single “B.I.T”, Cleo forgoes her signature rapping. Instead, “Zabiore Nas” continues to develop the sound she and Donatan forged in “Sztorm”, minimising the electronic sounds to help her powerful vocals shine.

The video for “Zabiore Nas” is cinematic. It’s also part Lord of the Rings, part National Geographic documentary. There’s plenty of extravagant mountain scenery on display, as well as statues, a fire-breather, origami and even a horse. The entire video is shot in monochrome, helping Cleo channel her inner Nina Sublatti! There’s no sign of those red and white Polish flag colours here either!
