Last week state broadcaster RTVSLO revealed the ten finalists for EMA 2016. The roster includes two of Slovenia’s former Eurovision representatives: Nuša Derenda and Regina. In an announcement this morning, the broadcaster brought back yet another familiar face to serve as host: Klemen Slakonja. You’ll surely recognise him as the host of EMA 2011 and 2012, as well as Slovenia’s national selection show Misija Evrovizija.
A man of many talents, Klemen is best known in Slovenia as an actor, comedian, singer and television presenter. He’s also known for his musical parodies of popular songs. One of his most popular parodies was “JJ Style”, a “Gangnam Style” take on Slovenia’s political developments, which racked up over a million views on YouTube.
