It’s coming! In just a few days the 66th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival will kick off. From Tuesday to Saturday night 20 Italian stars will fight to win the trophy and the chance to fly the Italian flag in Stockholm at Eurovision 2016.

Top secret rehearsals with the big orchestra are already underway inside the Ariston theatre. According to the rules, we cannot hear the entries competing in the “Campioni” section until they are performed on the stage for the first time. The curiosity is killing us!

But to keep us alive RAI has slowly been drip-feeding exciting news. Day after day the list of special international guests gets longer. We already reported the names of Sir Elton JohnEllie Goulding and Maître Gims. All three of them will be in town to promote their latest albums Wonderful crazy nightDelirium and Mon cœur avait raison.

It’s already scored more than 388 million views on YouTube!

We will see also Roberto Bolle, one of the most important Italian dancers. He is currently a principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre and a principal dancer étoile at La Scala Theatre Ballet.

As we previously reported, several non-competing Italian artists will join them: Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti, Elisa, PoohRenato ZeroEzio Bosso and the latest act announced, Cristina D’Avena, the Queen of the Italian animated cartoons, who has sung almost 400 opening themes!

It’s time for my ranking!

1. Malta: Ira Losco – Chameleon
2. Belgium: Laura Tesoro – What’s The Pressure
3. Belarus: Ivan – Help You Fly
4. Albania: Eneda Tarifa – Përrallë
5. France: Sasha – Alive
6. Ireland: Nicky Byrne – Sunlight
7. Spain: Barei – Say Yay!

This is not provocation. This is true. France, Ireland and Spain are bad.

@MGR: What exactly are you referring to? The songs? The contests? The countries? Neither France nor Italy have chosen their songs yet, but they were awesome last year!

France, Ireland and Spain are bad, but I think Italy will not be much better.
