Isa surprised Melodifestivalen fans by missing out on going direkt till final, and will instead have to battle it out in the andra chansen round. wiwibloggs caught up with the “I Will Wait” singer after the second semi-final and discovered she was still very happy with how things had gone.

Isa wasn’t critical of her performance. She said, “I was really happy with my singing, with the shadows. Everything was just perfect.”

And while Isa’s fans would have prefered to see her go straight to the final, she was looking on the bright side, saying that, “I was just happy with the way I had performed and the way the audience were giving me energy.”

Isa also talked about her relief at nailing the shadow hand grab – something that had been difficult to master in rehearsals.

The last time Sweden hosted Eurovision, the Melfest winner came from the Andra Chansen round. Could history repeat itself? “Of course!”

Isa has a few days off, and she told us how she’ll be spending that time before she heads back into rehearsals.

@Maxim I agree with all of that! David’s song was nothing special at all and I don’t think he even deserved Andra Chansen… but if (hopefully when) Isa goes to the final, I can really see the juries ranking her high despite not getting the most televotes, just like Robin, and I hope that is what happens!

@Peyton, I do. I was so shocked last night when Isa was sent to Andra Chansen and that for exemple David Lindgren went directly to the final. Anyhow, I hope she can go to the final and actually win it, because she really deserves it!

Can anyone else see Isa pulling a Robin Stjernberg and winning Melodifestivalen? Because in my opinion, she was miles better than everyone else last night and her live performance was flawless

I got goosebumps from how generic and forced her performance is.

IT is my SAFURA moment of 2016

I got goosebumps from watching her performance. Only a small number of ballads can and have done well in eurovision – 2014 Sweden, 2015 Russia, 2008 Russia & I feel like Isa can be one of them.

Isa and Molly were both great! I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them wins melfest. Besides i’m so happy that the 2 best songs from the second semi final are both available now!

I’m finally having peace with Mimi not being in AC, cause then some favorites would have to go home 100% sure. Mimi vs Isa vs Molly vs Samir&Viktor and dolly style would be painfull to watch.
