Hungary’s A Dal 2016  is fast reaching its conclusion. The final is just two weeks away, but first there’s another semi-final to get through. Nine acts will take to the stage, but only four will progress. This week’s line-up includes fan favourite Freddie and A Dal 2015 finalists Passed. They will be joined by André Vásáry, ByTheWay, Egy Másik Zenekar, Laci Gáspár, Nika, Olivér Berkes & Andi Tóth, and Parno Graszt.

An initial round of voting will see three qualifiers progress, as determined by a mixture of jury and viewer scores. The fourth finalist will be chosen during a second round of 100% public voting. Viewers at home will be able to vote by SMS, via the app or online. In fact, those of you outside Hungary will also be able to vote on the official A Dal website. But before all that, it’s time to choose your favourites. Who deserves to join the Kállay Saunders Band, Gergö Oláh, Mushu and Petruska in the final?

You can listen to all nine tracks below. Then vote in our poll. You can vote for as many contestants as you like, but you can only vote ONE time. Be sure to check the box next to every act you want to support before submitting your votes. Voting ends on Friday 19 January — just ahead of the second semi-final on Saturday 20 January.

I think Freddie, Parno Graszt and Vasary Andre is going through by the jury. By televoting….it is hard to say since all the fans favourites are here – ByTheWay (heat 1), Passed (heat 2) and Oliver&Andi (heat 3). This semi is definitely weaker than the first one. All of them are very good but I think Hungary will choose Freddie or maybe Olah Gergo (don’t underestimate his fans). I think Kallay has no chance to win (and it seems the jury doesn’t really… Read more »

Aminata felt fresh from start to finish. Freddie’s song is not bad or dated exactly, but doesn’t have any ‘new’ feel to it.

In my opinion, I love Passed’s entry. I think it has the potential to bring something new to Eurovision!

Freddie, Passed, Egy Másik Zenekar, and Parno Graszt. I don’t like any of the other songs.

Second ten is most possible section for Hungary with Freddie. This is very similar to Aminata last year.
