The last semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2016 takes place in Gävle this Saturday. For the last time this season, seven artists will compete for just two places in the final, while two others will get a second chance in andra chansen next Saturday. Due the leak of Molly Sandén song “Youniverse”, short clips of all the songs were available for a limited time last week.
Besides Molly Sandén, who will compete for the third time in Melodifestivalen, the fourth semifinal includes many returnees. Martin Stenmarck won Melodifestivalen back in 2005 and finished 19th in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Dolly Style is returning after debuting last year with “Hello Hi“, while Panetoz sang “Efter Solsken” in the Melodifestivalen final in 2014. Linda Bengtzing is back for her sixth attempt, last competing in 2014 when she failed to make the final.
But which artist are you most excited for? Whether you have heard the 30-second clips or not, you can still vote. You can vote for as many artists as you would like, but you can only vote one time. Right now I hold Oscar Zia and “Human! as my winner. Amazing song and I like that dark performance of his. Gives me goosebumps. But I’m curious about Molly Sanden.

I also like Eclipse, i had the lowest expectations at this one, but thats why i’m impressed. Happy to hear that Frans can actually sing now, with a good song!

it’s sad that no song in Swedish has made it to the Final….the Swedish public really do reject songs in their own language which is fascinating…I guess Samir & Viktor’s song will have a good chance to move from Andra Chansen–it’ll probably be the only Swedish-language song in the final this year
For me best in this semifinal is Martin, but he had better song in 2014.
Molly is overrated , and SVT try to fix to Molly win the contest and maybe Eurovision with overrated points from juries like in 2012,2015 and they allso was overrated by jurien in 2013 and 2014.
