Lighthouse X stormed to the victory behind fan favourites Simone and Anna Nielsen at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016 final. Immediately after the final, Denmark’s Eurovision 2016 act told us they are totally ready to fly to Stockholm in May. After watching the handsome trio below, will you be ready to become “Soldiers of Love” for them?

Lighthouse X (Denmark Eurovision 2016) – Interview

We just had to ask them about their name, which is pronounced “Lighthouse Ten” and NOT “Lighthouse Ex”. Søren Bregendal — who formed the band — explains that it refers to making the world a better place.

“It’s very much about what our band is here to do — to talk about unity, coming together, making a difference and being a lighthouse. We all are lighthouses but in our own way….it’s an invitation to go and do something good.”

Whether you like their song or not, you have to admit that they boys serve major eye candy. Do you think they can win Eurovision’s Next Top Male Model 2016?

@Thiefo LOL, I thought the same thing.

This is a better song than last year’s. I actually like this one and I hope it makes the final. You know it probably will – Denmark always veers on the side of generic and usually still makes it

I love this eurovision entry this year from Denmark. It’s one of my favourites this year!

That explanation of their name is the most nonsense thing I’ve heard lately haha. “We’re Lighthouse Ten because we want to unite the world, we’re all lighthouses” … what?

Only the guy (Johannes Nymark) on the left next to Deban is really handsome.
The other guy ( Søren Bregendal) on the other side is good looking too but i don’t like his hair-cut.
The guy in the middle although not ugly, i don’t find him handsome either.

Their song is nothing special though. Its not in my top10 on the 2nd SF alone.

As was the failure of boy band Anti-Social Media, following their upset over Anne Gadegaard last year, so will this fail, after their upset of Anja Nissen and Simone.

The song itself is not bad (22nd), but it is just unexciting. And the performance… your usual boy band performance. Although trending up, they are still only 31st on my list.

Honestly I can only see these kids with their b-side reject 1D song making a kitchen cooker explode and not in a good way unless of course they wanna get hurt or burned. Do they even understand the things they say when they have a song like that? How elusive are they?

It’s dated and cheesy but I like Take That-esque vibe

One of my favourites in the contest! They all are handsome!! I also love the song for its message and energy. Hoping to see Denmark back in the final.

I wish them good luck, but it won’t qualify, even being in the weaker semi final.
