On March 21 Bulgaria’s Poli Genova released “If Love Was A Crime”, meaning that we finally know the complete line-up for the second semi-final of Eurovision 2016. This semi is far more open than the first, but the bookies seem to be backing Australia’s Dami Im. The country debuted in the top five last year — can the X Factor winner take them even higher?
After a string of poor results, Ireland will be hoping that ex-Westlife singer Nicky Byrne can get them back on track. He’s proven popular online, consistently topping our polls, but will that transfer to actual votes on the night? Ukraine returns from its year long hiatus with the emotionally charged 1944 from Jamala and they must surely have yet another top ten spot in their sights. And Poli Genova isn’t the only Eurovision returnee in the bunch. Donny Montell is taking another shot at glory for Lithuania, while Kaliopi will be aiming to better the record she set for FYR Macedonia in 2012. Contestants from Latvia, Norway and beyond will do their best to outshine all of them.

Hahaha! You made mi laugh! Poland bought voices??? Wtf? It sounds such stupid. Micha? is a poor man who doesn’t thief of voices. He has very good voice and an image. That’s all ! Be honest. You don’t like Poland and you’ve trouble with it :(.
Also, when you start claiming that someone is the best voice in the competition, you better make sure you thoroughly checked all other candidates. I’m looking at you DamiArmy. I agree that she’s amazing, but I doubt it you backed your statement with any research about other candidates.
If people vote for Poland, then Poland is popular. I love the Polish song. Just because I didn’t make a youtube top 43, doesn’t mean I don’t exist, and that I can’t vote. Polls and voting are a chance for us silent ones to express our tastes.
Well, we’ll have to see what remains of these songs when they are performed live. The wrong dress can make the whole thing look stupid. Winner of this semi-final is either Bulgaria or Australia, I think. Both are catchy songs from artists who know what to do with an audience. Poland and Romania won’t qualify I’m afraid, because of poor English pronunciation. Ukraine has the same problem, but with such an epic song I forgive her. The one country I believe is a lock is Australia, mostly because it’s a strong song and Dami sings the hell out of it – her live vocals as I’ve seen in her X Factor performance videos are amazing. I would love to see Switzerland qualify, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Rykka hits her peak at the right time. I sense trouble for Ireland if Nicky can’t deliver live, and I seriously think Kaliopi’s song this year isn’t as strong as her 2012 entry which was mind-blowing. Giorgio! Smile, don’t be so bitter. This year Polish people simply like very much the song they have chosen for the ESC and if they have the need to express it, so what is the problem? Everybody has it’s one ears and brain. I am Polish and I like the song of Micha? Szpak, but my favourite one is the Greek song. I doubt that Micha? Szpak would even have enough money to pay so many people. He is not rich, he is not even very famous in Poland and he is at the begining of his career.
