After a chaotic look with their first rehearsals, Minus One were back with a tighter rock performance, delivering a dark and brooding look, underscoring the intensity of their entry, “Alter Ego”.

The camerawork had been tightened up, bringing a sense of purpose to very shots, enabling Minus One to deliver a really solid rock delivery.

While lead singer Francois Micheletto commanded the centre stage, he was aided and abetted by guitarist Harrys Pari, who was cutting some fine rockstar shapes, bringing energy and excitement to the performance.

Added rock style was delivered with a few shots in black and white negative style, with the wolf themes emphasised by a few shots of a CGI wolf.

This one is going to be heavily reliant on how the director does the camera cuts. Not impressed by the staging, but a focus on the actions of the band members should remedy that. This is also going to require a huge audience reaction, otherwise it seems a bit flat. If the crowd goes bonkers, this will qualify, but if not it will be on the bubble.

Lighting is awful. Cages are my least favourite staging apparatus ever. Absolutely nothing attractive or “rock” about them. I thought this was a surefire qualifier but not anymore. Montenegro and Georgia have surpassed Cyprus by a mile.

Incredibly disappointing!
Seemed to be the most genuine rock entry this year and instead, the lead singer stays static for three minutes. Where is the energy?

Hello Chris and the other Wiwibloggers. Can you give us a bit more info on the CGI wolves?? Are they different than the ones they used in the first rehearsal??

Does the half-cages bother anyone else? Why are they not just in cages? Passable but meh.

This is the best song. Many people think that the rehearsal is only “good” but ACTUALLY they emphasized on how they are going to look on TV, to the television viewers. They have the wolf thing, the “alter ego” of Francois, the shoadows and the lights. You will see the power of the song on TV.
