She may be the last of our kind, but Rykka from Switzerland may no longer be destined to be last in semi final two. The second rehearsal of her song “The Last Of Our Kind”. The minor issues within the first rehearsal have no been resolved and have created one of the strongest Swiss entries in a while.
The first improvement lies within Rykka’s appearance. Thankfully, Rykka has decided to abort the curly blue hair from the first rehearsal and has instead opted for a hair straightener and a far more subdued ashy-violet tone.
Minor improvements to the LED screens have also been added. The image projected on the floor during the bridge before the final chorus looks amazing in combination with the camera angles.
One area that still needs some improvement is Rykka’s stage presence. Her voice sound’s amazing, however during her performance she continues to bob up and down. We are unsure whether or not she needs to go to the toilet or to throw up, but if she had some more control over her body movement, the entire show would be clean and precise.
This is actually a very good rehearsal and a massive improvement. I love her hair and the dress. Staging looks nice but i need to see the camera shots.

We need juries to help Switzerland this time! This entry deserves more to qualify than Lithuania!
What a great rehearsal! Everything improved indeed. I really hope they will opt for the straight hair, it looks a million times better.
Agree with Eugene, I’d also like to see the actual staging including the pyros and everything.

Whatever small hope Switzerland had of qualifying was crushed with this performance.
You can barely recognize her with the straight hair. I like it though.
Ya’ll need to show some love to the PNW and put this through to the final.
Is she alcoholic?
She looks more comfortable than she has done previously but still, a few of her mannerisms seem nervous and although her voice has improved a lot, there are still some notes that are badly missed.
The staging is pretty good. The smoke bit at the beginning is interesting and the lighting keeps my attention. Maybe this will not come last.
She really looks like she is having fun up there. Love the beginning, best I’ve seen thus far. The rest is kind of meh. Sorry Rykka, but this will not qualify.

I do find her movement less than graceful, she was completely different in the national final. Maybe she should go back to that, including the hair color (but lose the curls)
Glad that they decided to change the hair and some other things. That’s what rehearsals are for. Still, I don’t think her chances of qualifying are very high, but do not underestimate it! Last place in the odds is not so much based on the song and staging itself, but more on the fact that Switzerland got last in 2015 with a song where everybody agreed that there were no major problems (just too forgettable). Let’s see, I really hope she makes it to the final, or at least can just deliver a great performance 🙂
Why is the pyro waterfall at the last chorus gone?!?? I loved it and it was incredible.
I’m conflicted about her movements, yeah it kind of looks like she needs to have a wee but at the same time it’s just a habit of hers and it’s probably how she feels the music, and it’s a little bit cute. xD
